Albany County Bar Association
For the General Public:
The Albany County Bar Association (ACBA) is a privately funded professional trade organization for the legal community who work or live in Albany County. Despite the name of the organization, the ACBA is not affiliated with the NYS Unified Court System, nor is it an entity of county government or other civil legal service. We do not have attorneys in our office. We do not answer legal or procedural questions, provide legal counsel or offer pro bono services. We do not take or use public funds. As a private entity, we do not have the capacity to return phone messages from the public.
The ACBA hosts a Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) that offers guidance in connecting the general public to paid attorneys who work or live in Albany County. If you have an urgent matter, please do not wait for us to respond. Try using www.avvo.com as an alternate lawyer referral directory or visit our other legal resources page.
For Attorneys and Judges:
We are a hybrid office open Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. If you are part of the legal community contacting us from a law office, a judicial chamber, a law school or are a legal vendor looking for sponsorship/advertising opportunities, please leave us a message via email or phone.
