Are you ready to join an organization steeped in rich legal history and tradition?  For more than 117 years, the Albany County Bar Association has represented the interests of attorneys and judges practicing or living here in Albany County. Our mission is to promote collegiality among the bench and bar, facilitate public service and access to justice for all, and to offer programs, benefits, and services which enhance the skills of our members.
 
Here are just a few of the benefits of being a member:

Continuing Legal Education (CLE)
  • Access to our affordable and engaging CLE programs that feature local experts. 
  • ACBA members can store their CLE credit history under their profile. 
Connection
  • Invitations to social networking events connecting you to judiciary members, educators, and colleagues in the legal field.
  • Ability to be listed as an attorney panelist on the Lawyer Referral Service (LRS).
Publications
  • Subscription to the ACBA Newsletter, now online

  • Support for community programs promoting the legal profession, including county-wide Mock Trial program for high school students, the Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) available to the general public, the ACBA speakers bureau, the ACB Foundation, and access to other available legal resources online.
The Bar Association is what you make of it! To that end, we encourage you to become active in one of our many committees, including Attorneys in Public Service, Young Lawyers, Law Day 5K, Court of Appeals Dinner, and CLE committees. Once you are a member, there is no cost to join a committee. So sign up and become active today. 
 
We offer a variety of social events, CLEs and community service opportunities throughout the year. Check the bar’s website regularly for an updated list of upcoming events.
