Summary

This session will introduce the New York State Court of Claims and its newly created Attorney Referral Service pilot program. The Presiding Judge of the New York State Court of Claims, Hon. Richard E. Sise, Court of Claims Judge Catherine E. Leahy-Scott, and Court of Claims Chief Clerk Kristen A. Conklin, Esq. will provide information regarding the genesis of the Court of Claims and specific information regarding the Attorney Referral Service pilot program. The Attorney Referral Service pilot program seeks to have attorneys undertake representation of incarcerated claimants in claims filed in the Court of Claims.
