Law Day 5K

This year’s Law Day event this Thursday evening (4/27) is on track to be our largest 5K to date! Needless to say – we are excited to see you at the Corning Preserve Park in downtown Albany!

Law Day 5K - THURSDAY, April 27th
Onsite registration opens at 4:30 PM. Kid’s run(s) will start at 5:30 PM. Race length will depend on the ages that show up for the race. Law Day 5K race fires off at 6:00 PM.

RACE COURSE
The start/finish line will be located just to the south of the Corning Preserve Park. The course is a looping out and back on the Empire State Trail. Parts of this year’s course are very narrow. If you are running or walking with a group, please be mindful to stay to the right at all times. There will be race marshalls out on the course. The race start/finish is NOT at Jennings Landing, but is at the area adjacent to the small parking lot in Corning Preserve/adjacent to the restrooms.

PARKING
Paid parking is available in the Quackenbush Parking Garage behind 677 Broadway, at the Corning Preserve boat launch, or behind the Albany Pump Station. If you park behind the Pump Station take the new Albany Skyway over I-787 to the start line in the Corning Preserve Park. Street parking is free after 5 PM.

CORNING PRESERVE PARK/REST ROOMS
Thank you to the City of Albany for opening up the restrooms early for this event at Corning Preserve. Corning Preserve does have a very small parking lot and a second larger lot, but registrants should not count on those spaces being available. There is also a playground at this park.  There is a small restroom near the start but no portapotties, so be guided accordingly.

AFTER PARTY
The after party is being held at CH Evans- Albany Pump Station. Show your race bib and receive one free beer or soda.
